Gilbert is responsible for the corporate development and marketing strategies for the company. His fields of expertise include resources, life sciences, and China-related industries. In addition, Gilbert has established a broad network of business relations within the financial and investment community. This network is exceptionally useful in progressing and strengthening the developments of the company. Mr. Chan holds a Bachelor of Applied Sciences degree in Metals & Materials Engineering from the University of British Columbia. He is also an active contributor to the Investor Relations industry, and is currently a member of the NIRI (National Investor Relations Institute).

Mr. Kruger oversees the economic and financial analysis and reporting undertaken at the Embassy. He is responsible for engaging the Chinese authorities on a broad array on economic issues including macroeconomic and financial policy as well as topics that have a significant impact on Canada’s interests.
A China watcher for more than 20 years, Mark has been working in the Canadian Embassy since September 2006. Prior to moving to Beijing, Mr. Kruger was Senior Advisor to the Canadian Executive Director at the International Monetary Fund from Jan 2003 to August 2006. From 1989 to 2003, Mr. Kruger held a number of positions in the Bank of Canada, including Assistant Chief in the Banks’ International Department, where he was responsible for international financial policy and emerging market issues. Mr. Kruger began his career working for the Alberta Petroleum Marketing Commission in Calgary, Alberta.
Mr. Kruger holds a BA from Colby College and an M.A. from the University of Toronto.

Mr. Spence held senior positions in investment banking and corporate banking; including at Royal Bank of Canada Capital Markets and Bank of Montreal Capital Markets; where he was involved in mining finance & investments, M & A, corporate finance and several international financings. For more than a decade, Mr. Spence has conducted business in China, including numerous high-level negotiations and mining transactions; and has also been an early mover in China's outbound investments in mining resources. Mr. Spence is a CIM Distinguished Lecturer and was awarded a CIM Fellowship for outstanding contributions to the Canadian minerals industry. He sits on the Boards of PDAC and China Mining (Tianjin).  Mr Spence has a Hons. B.Sc. in Geology with Geophysics and an MBA, both from the University of Western Ontario.

Rick Paolone has spearheaded the expansion of Haywood’s institutional accounts in the eastern United States and across Canada. Rick focuses on high-growth emerging companies. Before joining Haywood in 2000, he worked at Scotia McLeod, Midland Walwyn and First Marathon Securities.  Rick is also a member of the Executive Committee and a board member of Haywood Securities inc.

John R. Ing is President and Chief Executive Officer of Maison Placements Canada Inc. (http://www.maisonplacements.com/) based in Toronto, Canada. Mr. Ing specializes in the precious metals sector, and has been featured on BNN (formerly RobTV)several times. Furthermore, John R. Ing has more than forty-two years experience in the investment industry, ranging from investment banking, financial analysis, portfolio management and sales. He has also spanned a broad range of dealers from the largest fully-integrated investment dealer to his own institutional investment boutique.

Donghai has more than ten years’ experience in world leading mining companies in roles of business analysis, sales and marketing.

Donghai worked as Commercial Director of Eramet which is world leading Ferro Nickel, Ferro Manganese, Alloy, nickel ore and high grade Manganese ore producer. Donghai worked as Rio Tinto’s Energy Representative in China and has a great understanding of China’s coal and uranium demand. Donghai also worked as Business Analysis Manager of Rio Tinto in China and his research areas covered Copper, Aluminum, Iron Ore, Energy and some industrial minerals.

Mr. George Gao is the Manager, Asia Business Development at the Toronto Stock Exchange and TSX Venture Exchange. He is responsible for business development activities and strategy in Asia for both exchanges.

Mr. Gao brings more than 15 years of experience in the finance and international business sectors to his work in guiding companies and their advisors through the process of listing on Canada’s preeminent stock exchanges.  In Canada, prior to joining the TMX Group, Mr. Gao worked as financing manager for an international mining company based in Toronto. Whilst in China, Mr. Gao worked for the Chinese government and also held managerial position at a large state-owned enterprise in China.

Mr. Gao holds an Honours B.A. in Economics and an MBA from the Schulich School of Business at York University.

Derek Liu is a professional accountant with over 15 year diverse international experiences in financial reporting, auditing, and accounting. He is a member of Certified General Accountants Association of British Columbia ("CGA, BC") and a Certified Public Accountant ("CPA") in the State of Colorado, USA. He has held senior accounting positions, such as corporate controller and chief financial officer, at a numerous public Canadian mining companies for the past several years.

Jeffrey Ren, MBA and Senior Economist, is currently serving as Chief Financial Officer in Huakan International Mining Inc. Jeffrey Ren has 18 years experience in financial management, direct investment and fund management, and investment banking. He has in succession worked in different financial institutions such as trusts, securities, funds, and investment companies etc. He has public market experience with junior and senior, private and public companies. Jeffrey’s financial working experience is mainly in fields of mining and pharmaceuticals.

Wei Shao is a Counsel and key member of the Firm's China Practice Group. He has extensive experience in corporate and project financing, mergers and acquisitions, cross-border counselling, and general corporate and commercial transactions. Has worked with the Canadian federal government for various missions to China and is an expert on cross-border transactions. Wei Shao will be talking about recent trends and developments in Chinese acquisitions and investments in the global natural resources markets and how they have opened new opportunities for everyday investors.

John Gravelle is Price waterhouse Coopers’s mining industry leader for Canada and for the West Cluster (North and South America). John is also a partner in the Tax group in Toronto with over twenty years experience in advising both domestic and foreign multinational mining clients on a full range of tax matters.

Michael specializes in corporate and securities law and is the National Practice Group Leader for Securities | Corporate Finance. He practises extensively in the securities law area, with an emphasis on public and private offerings of securities, take-over bids and mergers and acquisitions. Michael acts for companies in a wide range of industries, including mining. One area of focus of Michael's practice is representing clients and pursuing opportunities in China, Hong Kong and other international markets.

Gerry’s career began more than thirty five years ago when he worked as a private fund manager at Canada Permanent Trust. He then went on to become Chief Investment Officer for the INCO Limited pension fund. Gerry’s broad experience and knowledge, together with his passion for investing, inspired him to establish Marquest Asset Management Inc.

Over the years, Gerry has gained the respect of his peers, advisors and clients. He has  developed a reputation as a great communicator and has been sought out by leading business  journals for his advice and insights on investment. He has been featured in the National Post and The Globe and Mail. In addition, he has appeared on Business News Network.
