Introduction
VANCOUVER CONFERENCE 2010: A SUCCESSFUL START TO 2010
The Global Chinese Financial Forum (GCFF)’s Vancouver 2010 Conference was successfully completed on March 13 2010. At the beginning of this year, the market had been showing a sign of recovery from the financial downturn. The general public has been more optimistic toward the financial market. The GCFF had taken this opportunity and achieved one our most successful conferences in the city of Vancouver. The GCFF’s Vancouver 2010 Conference provided in-depth market information from experts of different industries and financial institutions. The conference provided excellent interaction amongst all of its participants and has built long lasting connections between participating companies and the Chinese investor community of Vancouver.
This year’s conference hosted 30 exhibitors from all over the North America, each equipped with high levels of expertise in different fields of the market. With all the different experts in the conference, participants had the advantage of enhancing their market knowledge conveniently at one-day gathering Furthermore, the conference was a rare occasion providing excellent networking opportunities for all participants and exhibitors. For this reason, the conference alone attracted 1580 participants, most of whom were sophisticated Chinese investors.
The major theme of the Vancouver Conference 2010 was the post Olympics effect on Vancouer’s economy and the conference also arranged more than 30 informative presentations on different topics. What’s more was the hot topic on financial investment. The conference also provided exciting interactive activities for its attendees, such as the Financial Trivia Showdown along with great prizes which was well received by all participants.
The GCFF alone could not have accomplished such a superb conference without the support of its many sponsors, partners, exhibitors, and participants. The GCFF would like to thank all of its sponsors, especially the platinum sponsor: TD Waterhouse and the gold sponsors: Virtual Brokers, and Aurizon Gold Mines Ltd., as well as its partners, exhibitors, and participants, who had taken a great part of this event.
After the remarkable Vancouver Conference 2010, the GCFF has a lineup of exciting conferences including the Oil and Gas event in June, The Toronto Conference in October and Shanghai Conference in November. The GCFF, as the largest, most comprehensive platform of reaching out to the Chinese investors, will continue this success and strive to provide the financial world with the greatest opportunities to engage with the global Chinese speaking community.
